What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign treatment is a nearly invisible method of straightening teeth. With the use of advanced 3D computer imaging technology, an Invisalign doctor prepares a treatment plan and presents it to a patient, from initial alignment to a desired alignment after the treatment. Then a set of clear aligners is custom-made for a patient. The aligners are designed to move the teeth little by little. Each aligner should be used for approximately two weeks. Then it is exchanged for another aligner from the set, which gradually moves the teeth further towards the final alignment. The duration of treatment depends on a patient and is determined by an Invisalign doctor.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign aligners are made for gradual and controlled movement of teeth. In contrast to traditional appliances, Invisalign treatment controls not only the movement range of each aligner, but the duration of movement as well. Therefore, only the chosen teeth can be moved at each stage of the treatment, according to the Invisalign treatment plan set for a particular stage. It has the best effect on teeth.
